WELL AWAY- wel·la·way | \ ˌwe-lə-ˈwā : to be completely involved in what you are doing immersed in making good progress;
“Art.. it’s a very subjective thing..
it has to be..
a true artist climbs in the darkest and dank corners to manifest some physical representation
of what he is trying to get across…sometimes We get it and sometimes we don't...
but in a day and age of cookie cutter artists that use a formulaic method,
it's refreshing and encouraging to find an artist that steps outside the accepted forms
and mixes media that defies the stereotypes…Art is supposed to be
about breaking new ground…
What would the old school guys that really started it all have to say about it..
They would say…
Hey, this guy Shane Litchford…he gets it…he takes things that most would consider detritus, adds a little of this and a touch of that…
a bit of down home southern, a bit Rage Against the Machine, maybe some Levon Helm,
splash it with a drop or two of Appalachian badassery, and sprinkles it with fair amount of ganja seasoning…
and gets it just so… you know what I'm saying..57 Chevys, long country highways and dirt roads
to nowhere that we've been before
you want art from the soul that means something…
Check out Shane's stuff...
it'll take you there…”
yours truly,”

"The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side." --
